Dinner and breakfast served during the flight. LONDON Tuesday, 25 May Meet with your local guide who will accompany you on a city tour to include the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, then on to Westminster Abbey. Dinner at leisure. Overnight in the Copthorne Tara Hotel (the hotel check in time is 3 pm). Wednesday, 26 May Transfer to the House of Lords for a private tour with Lord Laird of Artigarvan. Return transfer to the hotel. Afternoon free for more sightseeing or shopping. Dinner at leisure. Overnight in the Copthorne Tara Hotel. BELFAST Thursday, 27 May Transfer to Heathrow airport for flight to Belfast, You will be accompanied by a guide to ensure smooth check in. On arrival in Belfast you will be taken on a city tour to include the Falls Road, and Shankill Road. There will be an opportunity for photo stops at the best known gable end wall murals, icons of identity and division. We are then given a guided tour of the marble interior of City Hall and a reception in the Lord Mayors office. Dinner at leisure. Overnight is in the Stormont Hotel. Friday, 28 May Drive via the shores of Strangford Lough to Downpatrick and St Patrick's Centre where the exhibition explores the legacy of Patrick, ancient and modern, and recalls the saint's story in his own words. Visit the Cathedral where Patrick is buried, most likely to be underneath the present church Return to Belfast for dinner at the hotel before attending the evening performance of On Eagle's Wing at the Odyssey Centre. Overnight in the Stormont Hotel. LONDONDERRY Saturday, 29 May Leave Belfast and driving north to Carrickfergus we visit the ancestral home of the 7th US President, Andrew Jackson. His parents emigrated from Carrickfergus in 1765. The Andrew Jackson Centre is close by. Continue north on the spectacular Antrim Coast Road to the Giants Causeway. A World Heritage site and Northern Ireland's most famous land mark. Explore the many rock formations such as the Wishing Chair, Honeycomb and the Punch Bowel. Our next stop is at the dramatic ruin of Dunluce Castle teetering on the edge of a crag. Most of the fortifications date from the 16th and 17th centuries. Continue on the scenic route of the North Antrim Coast and then on to Limavady just outside Londonderry for dinner and overnight in the Tower Hotel. Sunday, 30 May A morning tour of the city of Derry, the only completely walled city in Ireland. These famous walls have withstood several sieges, the most celebrated lasting 105 days. The Apprentice Boys, beginning in 1832, would every year burn the effigies of Lundy, the Governor of the city at the start of the siege, who plotted to hand it over to the Catholic King James. The 13 brave Apprentice Boys pre-empted Lundy by shutting the gates of the city in the face of James's army. We are given a guided tour of the Walls which encircle the old city, a circuit of one mile. Dinner at leisure. Overnight in the Tower Hotel. Monday, 31 May This morning we make a visit to the Institute of Ulster Scots in the Magee Campus of the University of Ulster. From here we drive to Strabane and the ancestral home of Woodrow Wilson where we will gain an insight into the history behind our rich Ulster American connections. Learn how the fate of the 28th Presidency of the USA was to lie in the hands of local man James Wilson. After visiting the Wilson ancestral home we move to Gray's Printing Museum, associated with famous Ulster-Americans, including John Dunlap, printer of the American Declaration of Independence. Tea and scones will be served and a short presentation given on the American connection. Dinner at leisure. Overnight at the Tower Hotel. DONEGAL Tuesday, 01 June Leave Londonderry and drive to the Jackson's Hotel in Letterkenny in Donegal. From here we will tour Donegal in the company of Jim Devenney, Deputy Chairman of the Ulster Scots Agency. A reception and entertainment will be arranged in the Jacksons Hotel where you will spend an overnight. DUBLIN Wednesday, 02 June Leaving Donegal this morning we drive south to the Ulster American Folk Park in Omagh. A guided tour of this museum of emigration tells the story of people who left these shores for a new life in America during the 18th and 19th centuries. Old and new world sections include thatched buildings, log houses and a full scale replica emigrant ship. Continue driving south to Dublin for panoramic tour of the city. Dinner and overnight at the Gresham Hotel. Thursday, 03 June Check out of the hotel and transfer to Dublin Airport to board Delta Flight # 128 at 1150am arriving back into Atlanta at 315pm. .
